Brad Carmichael, Vice President - Business Development
Brad Carmichael is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt trainer who knows how to deliver innovative technology, improve business processes and manage organizational operations for utility industry clients. During his 26-year career at CNG and Dominion, Brad held a series of increasingly responsible positions that led to the improvement of the company’s financial, regulatory compliance and accounting processes.
After the CNG and Dominion merger, he implemented a mass-market commodity billing solution project for the new company. Following the initiative’s successful completion, he developed a long-term IT strategy to support the retail division’s 10-year business plan. As vice president of operations at USP from 2003 to 2008, Brad managed all operational and back-office functions, including claims management, customer service, and IT. Beginning in July 2008, Brad assumed responsibility for business development at USP. Brad is responsible for identifying new prospects among major electric and gas utility groups, developing customer relationships for private label partnerships as well as for developing strategic marketing plans and implementation strategies.
