City of Clarksburg and USP (doing business as Service Line Warranties of West Virginia) Bring Utility Line Protection to Habitat for Humanity Home
April 2009 - The City of Clarksburg, WV launched its new partnership with Service Line Warranties of West Virginia (SLW), a subsidary of Utility Service Partners, with a ceremony at a Habitat for Humanity house in Clarksburg. SLW, a West Virginia Municipal League-endorsed program, provided its first warranty free of charge to the Habitat home, located on Terra Cotta Street in Clarksburg. The event was held on April 14.
SLW offers a Water Line Warranty which protects homeowners from the cost and hassle associated with repairs needed to their outside, buried water line for a small monthly fee. The warranty program guarantees homeowners coverage in the case of a break and provides a 24/7 customer service line which dispatches a local contractor within 24 hours of a claim to perform the repair. There are no service fees and no deductible. Repairs are covered up to $4,000 per incident plus an additional $500 allowance for public sidewalk cutting, if needed.
Clarksburg homeowners were given the opportunity to enroll at the discounted price of $4.25 per month, a savings of over 5% on our standard monthly pricing. Local residents who choose to pay annually will further discount their annual payment to $45.00, which saves over 15%. Service Line Warranties of West Virginia has several billing frequencies and payment options available; including invoice, credit card and direct debit from your checking account.
